Xexmenu 1.4 is a dashboard for the Xbox 360 that allows you to launch homebrew games, applications, emulators, and other files from your hard drive or USB drive. Installation
To install Xexmenu 1.4, you will need a JTAG or RGH hacked Xbox 360, a USB flash drive formatted as a system drive, and a PC with Xplorer360 software. You will also need to download the Xexmenu 1.4 rar file from here [^1^]. Follow these steps:
- Extract the CODE9999 folder from the Xexmenu 1.4 rar file to your desktop.
- Plug the USB flash drive into your PC and open Xplorer360.
- Open the Content folder on the USB drive and create a new folder named 0000000000000000 (16 zeroes).
- Open the new folder and drag the CODE9999 folder into it.
- Close Xplorer360 and safely eject the USB flash drive.
- Plug the USB flash drive into your Xbox 360 and navigate to Console Settings > Storage.
- Select the USB flash drive and copy Xexmenu 1.4 to your hard drive.
- Navigate to the Demos section of your dashboard and launch Xexmenu 1.4.
Usage
Xexmenu 1.4 has two main menus: Discovery and File Manager. You can switch between them by pressing LB or RB on your controller. Here is a brief overview of each menu:
Discovery Menu
The Discovery menu lists all the files and folders that are launchable from your hard drive or USB drive. You can press left or right on the D-pad to change the directory. The default directories are:
- Games: hdd1://Games
- Emulators: hdd1://Emulators
- Applications: hdd1://Apps
You can launch any file or folder by pressing A or Start on your controller. You can also press Y to rescan the devices for new files.
File Manager Menu
The File Manager menu allows you to browse, copy, move, delete, create, and patch files and folders on your devices. You can press left or right on the D-pad or X to change the directory. The default devices are:
- HDD: hdd1
- USB: usb0 or usb1
- Flash: Flash (do not touch unless you know what you are doing)
